Our Key Strategies

In Northumberland our work is based on a number of key strategies that inform how we work with partners and deliver services to residents. You can click on the links below for more information on these strategies and how they all fit together.

Our strategic work is split into three separate tiers:

Tier 1 Strategies

Our tier 1 strategies are:

Tier 2 Strategies

Tier 2 strategies are more focused and generally have a medium term perspective of around 3 to 5 years. They provide the strategic framework for partnership activity with their main focus being the development and delivery of bespoke programmes of action. The 2010/11 corporate plan and medium term strategy are currently being developed. Examples of these strategies include:

Tier 3 Strategies

Tier 3 strategies are much narrower in scope and look at a particular strand of work or locality. These include things like Community Action Plans, Parish Plans, Market Town Master plans and neighbourhood renewal plans. Examples include:

Organisational Strategies

This tier relates to the corporate and operational plans of individual organisations. For the Framework to deliver demonstrable change, all service providers have to be able to demonstrate how their policy and budget decisions are maximising the contribution to the wider shared vision and outcomes. A range of organisational strategies can be found on the website including our HR strategy Think People.
